MOBILE RELEASE · WEBSITE v2.2.0
Install your giveaway app
The mobile entrance is mobile.php inside your existing giveaway website folder. It brings together live giveaways, private entries, pickup codes, and agent sign-in.
Install the website update
- Start from Event & Giveaway Manager v2.1.1. Make a backup in Backup & updates or use your hosting backup if you exceed the existing dashboard limit.
- Upload DASHBOARD-UPDATE-v2.2.0.zip through Backup & updates, review it, and install.
- Open Mobile app in the giveaway dashboard. Copy the public app link or show its QR code.
- Open that link over HTTPS on a phone and choose the installation option.
This update uses the same database schema. Existing accounts, drawing entry numbers, winners, photos, logos, email settings and pickup history remain in place. Photos still allow 5 MB; meeting location remains optional. The original update-signature verification remains enabled.
Your mobile design and icon
The app now has Home, Entries, Live and More tabs, compact cards and bottom sheets. Agent workspaces have bottom navigation and focused giveaway sections. The supplied blue and green Agent Sites NOW Event & Giveaway Manager artwork is now the web app icon on iPhone and Android. If an existing shortcut keeps the previous image, remove that shortcut and add the updated mobile app page to your home screen again.
For the native Android app, install v1.1.0 over v1.0.0 or v1.0.1. It uses the same signing certificate and retains the configured website and app data. A website update alone cannot replace an installed native launcher icon.
If the old dashboard menu hides Backup & updates, temporarily zoom out in your browser to reach it. Restore normal zoom after installing this patch; the menu now scrolls independently.
Android app
- Open the mobile app page in your Android browser.
- Tap Install Android app or Get Android app to download the signed APK.
- Open the downloaded APK. If Android asks, allow installation from that browser and complete the Android confirmation screens. Device management policies may restrict direct installation.
- Open ASN Raffle from your app list. The native launcher keeps its existing name; the updated website uses Giveaway wording.
- Paste the HTTPS giveaway app or website address supplied by your agent and confirm the connection.
The included app supports Android 8.0 or newer and uses Android’s WebView for the giveaway pages, with native navigation, file selection, connection messages and back controls. Keep Android System WebView updated. Use App options → Manage connection → Disconnect when changing websites or handing a shared device to someone else. This clears the app’s cookies and local web data; it does not delete giveaway records.
Some calendar, receipt and account export downloads open your browser. For generated files, repeat the download there; your browser may ask you to sign in. Keep private entry links private. Android screenshots are disabled by the app to protect private screens.
The APK is bundled at assets/native/asn-raffle-android-v1.1.0.apk. If you previously saved a link to the old APK, update it under Mobile app to use the new file above. The administrator can replace its public download link under Mobile app with a future APK hosted inside this giveaway folder, or a Google Play link. Emptying the field hides the native download button. Only publish an APK signed with the same Android signing key for future updates.
iPhone installation
The website can be installed on an iPhone now:
- Open the mobile app link in Safari.
- Tap Share, which may be inside the More menu.
- Choose Add to Home Screen.
- If shown, enable Open as Web App, then tap Add.
This installs the web app. The separately supplied iOS Xcode project is a native SwiftUI app shell using WKWebView. It has not been compiled, signed, or tested on an iPhone in this build environment. A Mac with Xcode, your Apple developer signing setup, device testing, and the chosen distribution process are still required. No IPA or App Store approval is included. Once a store release is available, an administrator can enter its Apple App Store link under Mobile app.
Apple’s native project uses a temporary web data store, so you may need to sign in again or reopen your private entry link after closing the app. The website remains the source of your giveaway records.
Home-screen web app
The Install app button requests installation where the browser supports it. If no installation prompt is available, it shows instructions. A browser can withhold installation in private browsing, embedded email browsers, or when an app is already installed. Use a normal browser tab over HTTPS.
Installing a web app does not produce an Android APK or iPhone IPA. The signed Android download and the iOS source project are separate from browser installation.
The app icon always opens the general app home. Private access tokens are never written into the web app manifest or shortcuts. Use My entries to request your email link, or paste your existing private entry link into the app.
Live giveaways and privacy
Open a live giveaway link and tap Save live giveaway to remember it in this browser on this device. Up to 12 public live giveaway links are saved. Remove individual entries or clear the list in the Live tab. Private entry links and pickup codes are never included in that saved list.
Live results, entry lookup, email recovery, drawing actions and prize pickup require internet access. The web app can display its public home and a reconnect screen offline. Personal records, login pages, account APIs and pickup responses are not service-worker cached. Existing tablet check-in keeps its separate offline workflow.
This release adds no native push notification service. Existing scheduled and winner emails continue through your configured SMTP and cron setup. Result updates occur while the live giveaway page is open.
When a new web app version is available, a banner offers Refresh app. Finish any open form before selecting it. App updates never draw a winner or mark a prize claimed automatically.
Administrator distribution checklist
- Confirm the public HTTPS mobile.php address opens on a phone.
- Install and open the Android APK on a test phone; confirm its website address.
- Test an agent login, an existing private entry link, a live giveaway and photo upload on that phone.
- Test iPhone home-screen installation in Safari.
- Share the app QR or public app URL. Share private entry links only with their intended recipient.
The Android APK was compiled and its signature verified. The website upgrade and mobile browser checks are documented in the release notes. Real Android/iPhone device acceptance remains a hosting/distribution step. Your website is not updated until you install the dashboard ZIP.
